The Incredible World Tour. The idea of this project first started when rapper Logic announced his Incredible World Tour following the release of his sophomore album The Incredible True Story. Short after the release I became a huge fan of the album and so did my frequent collaborator Lionel. After listening to the album over and over and beginning to understand the background story we fantasized about how we could picture this in a single poster.
A little information about the album so you as a viewer can fully understand the concept and imaginary we choose for this project. The project is fully titled as “The Incredible True Story …And the Transformation of the Man Who Saved the World,” and is a script Logic wrote that takes place in 2115.
It is an Audio Cinematic experience that mainly takes place in sonic form about a Space Pilot (Thomas) and his partner (Kai) a man of infantry who, from time to time, interact with the ships AI component: Thalia, designed by C-CORP. Life on Earth is nonexistent as we (the human race) have destroyed it and search for a new place to call home. The search for a planet called Paradise. It is Thomas and Kai’s job to a man a mission to what we believe will be our new home. Upon picking Kai up from the Babel Space Station the two strike up a conversation about oldies music Thomas had been playing before his arrival (music from long ago that has nothing to do with this concept). As the Aquarius III (the spaceship in this story) readies to venture off on their mission for mankind, Thomas explains how he just listened to a certain musician’s first album. And cues the second as they depart, the one we are mentioning right now.
The concept of the tour poster is based on the album cover in which you can see Logic, William Kai, Quentin Thomas and others looking at something amazing. We wanted to create a image of what that might be and so we created the Planet Paradise in it’s purest form. Along with the spaceship interior and space surroundings we wanted to paint a picture of the journey for the fans to experience.
